The Metro Foundation continually strives to build capacity within the field of infectious disease, as well as improve the quality of life for those affected by it. Through its programs, the foundation offers high-quality medical education for infectious disease physicians and fellows-in-training, prevention-based education for the general public, and a vaccines initiative that aims to prevent disease in indigent and under-insured patients.
