2009 Chicago Infectious Disease Board & Recertification CourseFor more information, or to register for the 2009 course, please click here. There are currently 6,056 certified infectious disease physicians in the United States. To ensure that these specialists are highly qualified, a rigorous board exam is required for both initial certification and periodic recertification. The Metro Foundation, in partnership with Rush University Medical Center, provides an intensive Annual Board Review to prepare these physicians for the exam. The course additionally serves those seeking continuing medical education (CME) credit. In addition to being the largest course in the Midwest, this board review course is currently the only course of its kind that is offered free of charge to infectious disease fellows-in-training. The Annual Chicago Infectious Disease Board and Recertification Course currently covers: | Dermatologic Mimics of Infectious Disease | HIV Infection and Therapy | | HIV Opportunistic Infections | STD | | Influenza and SARS | Epidemiology, Hospital-Acquired Infection | | Fungal Infection/Eye Infection | TB and Atypical | | Clinical Microbiology | CNS Infections | | Vaccines | GI | | Pox | Head and Neck | | Toxin Associated and Malaria | Zoonoses | | Sepsis | Orthopedic Infections | | Vascular Infection | Endocarditis | | Immuno & WBC Deficiency Syndromes | Transplant ID | | Hepatitis | URI/LRI | | | Parasitic Infections |
