The Metro Foundation is currently developing an educational program for high school students in DuPage and Cook counties. Developed by high school educators and volunteer infectious disease physicians, the curriculum will focus on existing gaps in students’ knowledge about infectious disease. Topics for instruction will include HPV, meningitis, hepatitis, flu and more. The course will be taught by infectious disease physicians who are experts in their field, and the expertise that the physicians will bring will truly make The Metro Foundation’s High School Education Initiative unique.
