The INSIDER Dinner (IN Support of Infectious Disease Education and outReach) is The
Metro Foundation’s premier annual event to generate support and visibility for its infectious disease-related education and outreach initiatives. The black-tie (preferred) event – consisting of a reception and dinner – brings together and galvanizes the collective resources of the national infectious disease community, including physicians and other medical professionals, vendors and other industry stakeholders. At the dinner, the foundation presents the INSIDER Award to a member of the community in recognition of his or her lifetime contributions and commitment to the field of infectious disease.
Dr. John Bartlett has been a pioneer in the field of infectious disease for four decades. A past president of the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA), he received the society’s 2005 Alexander Fleming Award for lifetime achievement and contributions to the field.
