The Metro Foundation is committed to assisting with the procurement of lifesaving infectious disease-related medical services for underserved populations. Through a number of programs such as an international vaccines initiative, the foundation continually seeks opportunities to partner with organizations and individuals in the field to provide vaccines and related medical supplies to those in need both domestically and abroad.
In 2008, the foundation lauched a new annual fundraising initiative called The Metro Quarantine to support these efforts. To date, the program has raised more than $10,000 to fund lifesaving childhood vaccinations in underserved areas around the globe.
